Gov. Ron DeSantis Seeks to Make Florida a Riot-Free State
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says the riots have to stop. He's signing into law what would declare Florida a "riot-free state."
His "anti-riot" law focuses on protecting Sunshine State citizens from riots such as those that ravaged the Midwest last summer.
"Peaceful protests are alright," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a Fox News interview. "But rioting, looting, burning ... that's not acceptable."
"This is about keeping the 20-plus million people who live in Florida safe, as well as the millions of people that visit with us every year," Judd continued.
