WATCH: How Current Events Point to End-Times Promises

Pastor Jack Hibbs hosted Amir Tsarfati, Bible teacher and president of Behold Israel, on a recent episode of Real Life With Jack Hibbs to discuss a biblical view of current events. The far-ranging conversation includes clips of current news stories and how they relate to the truths found in God’s Word.

“The Messiah is not arriving on Air Force One. It could have been a Democrat if he had the same policies. It was pro-life. It was pro-Israel. It was pro-religious freedom,” Hibbs says about the recent contentious election, adding, “You would think that our faith has been rattled by a political outcome.”

Hibbs also reminders viewers, “Nowhere does God say to America, ‘You’ll be raptured and escape any crazy people.'” And he agrees with Tsarfati’s key statement: “You vote pro-life, pro-Israel, pro-freedom, pro-Christianity, pro-Israel—but God has the last word.”

“The Holy Spirit is holding the world from really falling apart,” Tsarfati says. He points to the life of Joseph as described in the book of Genesis, noting that no matter what happened to him, God was still on the throne.

Hibbs and Tsarfati also point to the hope and future held out in the book of Second Thessalonians, and Tsarfati reminds believers of the promise of the Second Coming: “The minute we are up and the world is going down, guess who shows up?”

To hear more of Hibbs’ and Tsarfati’s teaching on how biblical truth is playing out in today’s headlines, watch the entire discussion here.
