Stephen Strang, founder of Charisma Media and author of God and Donald Trump, says President Donald Trump has done more for religious liberty and persecuted Christians than any other U.S. president in his lifetime.

“Look, there were millions of Christians, evangelical Christians, who believe the country was going in the wrong way, and we prayed that God would somehow do something that would shift the direction of our country,” Strang says. “Here he raised up a man that we didn’t even necessarily like in the form of Donald Trump. “

In an interview with MSNBC, he talked to Craig Melvin about the Johnson Amendment, evangelical support for Trump and the recent conflict between David Hogg and Laura Ingraham.

“He has come through again and again,” Strang says of Trump. “He’s standing strong. He’s trying to make America great again. And most evangelical Christians like me are praying that somehow, America will become morally and spiritually great again.”
