How Robert Morris Found the Courage to Lift His Hands in Praise

Robert Morris, pastor of Gateway Church, used to be reluctant to lift his hands in worship. As a young Baptist evangelist, he says, “we didn’t lift our hands in church excerpt when we were voting people out.”

Morris says he remembers when his heart changed, though.

“I also remember the first time I thought, You know I got saved in a motel room,” Morris says. “And I don’t care what anybody thinks. I’m going to stand like this in church. And I am going to give Him the praise He deserves from me, no matter what anybody thinks.”
