Former NFL Player Leaves Life of Luxury to Bless Others Through Farm Ministry

Share:

Former NFL player Jason Brown was, at the time, the league’s highest paid professional football player, grossing $37.5 million. He gave it all up after God called him to “live a more humble lifestyle” on First Fruits Farm in Freeland, Maryland, where the harvest is donated to those in need.

Knowing absolutely nothing about farming after playing in the NFL for seven years, Brown knew it was a leap of faith, and he told the Lord, “All right, God, I’m going to walk by faith and not by sight. Everything that You’ve told me to do, even though I have no clue how it’s going to be accomplished, I’m going to keep walking in faith every single day.”

As Jason and his wife, Tay, trusted in God to lead them where they were supposed to be, there were moments of struggle and insecurity. But Brown says he had to remember, “In God there is no failure,” because “that’s how awesome and loving He is.”

Watch this video to see how this remarkable couple is leading their eight children, and all who encounter their story, in courage and conviction through this leap of faith.
