Why Steven Furtick Rebuked a Pastor for Saying He Believed in Jesus ‘Without a Doubt’

During a recent sermon, Pastor Steven Furtick talked about a time he rebuked a fellow leader for leading a prayer to salvation in which the pastor said he believed in Jesus “without a doubt.” Furtick wanted to make sure people didn’t believe that faith in Jesus required having no doubts at all, so he corrected the leader, “Never again, when you stand in the pulpit at Elevation, do I want you to put people in a position where you’re telling them to pray something they can’t honestly pray.”
