After Lori Laughlin’s Departure, ‘When Calls the Heart’ Announces Return

Hallmark’s popular inspirational series, “When Calls the Heart,” has remained on heart-stopping hiatus since the arrest of actress and series star Lori Loughlin (“Abigail Stanton”) in the recent college admissions scandal. After series producers announced that, despite Hallmark’s firing of Loughlin, the popular series set in the fictional Hope Valley would continue, an identified half-million “Hearties,” the show’s loyal fans, waited for further updates.

In this video, Erin Krakow, who plays Elizabeth Thornton in the series, announces that season 6 will return Sunday evening, May 5, with a second brand-new episode set to release the following night. Watch the video below for the full announcement—and a sneak peek of what’s to come.
