Is This Demonic Strongman Blocking Your Deliverance?

Behind every strongman is a lie, and if we remove the lie, we can manifest our deliverance. The battle is in our mind. We wage war against the enemy by fighting thoughts of fear. Behind every emotional and demonic issue we face is a negative lie of fear we are believing. We can receive deliverance as we root out that lie of fear. Let me explain:

Rejection: Rejection tells you no one will love you, people are speaking against you and that people don’t value you. Rejection is a lie that creates fear. The fear of rejection paralyzes you into not trusting people and truthfully not trusting God. When we allow rejection to manifest in our life and own those feelings of “I’ll probably get rejected again,” we are in fear of rejection and don’t trust God to bring people into our lives who will accept us. Truth be told, we need to feel accepted and loved by God so we don’t need to have dependence upon people.

Finances: Fear tells you that you will never have enough money to give abundantly, pay off your bills, purchase the pleasure of life and be debt free. Fear has you constantly worrying about money and provisional items. Fear says, “You don’t make enough, and you can’t afford to buy that.” Fear makes you look at your employer as your provider instead of God. God is our provider, and if He provides for the birds (Matt. 6:26) how much more will He provide for us? Fear tells us to put confidence in our own ability instead of God’s provision. Fear is a liar!

Health: Our bodies hurt or have been diagnosed with a disease. Fear makes us think the worst such as: “I have a headache; it is probably a brain tumor,” “My heart is racing; I’m going to have a heart attack,” or “This skin rash is contagious and spreading; I had better run to the emergency room.” Fear makes our minds run rampant with vain imaginations and false scenarios. While our mind runs in all kinds of directions, we are buying into the lie of fear instead of rising up in faith. The Bible speaks many times of Jesus being our healer, but instead of trusting Him to be our healer, we go in the direction of fear instead of faith.

Fear cripples us and paralyzes us into thinking about what we fear. It is a mind-binding, tormenting spirit in relentless pursuit of us. Furthermore, when we fear something, we aren’t trusting God in that area of our lives, because trust and faith are interchangeable.

When seeking deliverance, identify the fear in your life and identify where you aren’t trusting God. I know it is difficult to think we aren’t trusting God, but the truth is if we are walking in fear we aren’t manifesting the faith of Jesus within us! We have the Holy Spirit living within us, which means we have faith! We need to pull on and manifest that faith.

Pursue your freedom by allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you in your quiet time. Identify your fear by writing it down and then identify where you are not fully trusting God. Discern it and pray into it! Seek the Lord and ask Him to assist you in overcoming these emotions and rooting out these demonic strongholds. {eoa}
