Charisma News Brief: Man Claims to be the Devil Mid-Flight, Gets Violent

A JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale to Boston was diverted to Orlando after a man on the plane claimed to be the devil and demonstrated violent behavior toward the other passenger he boarded the flight with.

Witnesses on the plane told WCVB that the passenger wouldn’t sit down, pacing on the plane as he called himself the devil and made threats. He also punched the woman who boarded the plane with him.

Due to this violent nature, the woman was placed inside the bathroom by flight attendants. However, the out-of-control passenger still attempted to punch the bathroom door to gain access to her.

The first few rows were notified that the flight would be diverted to Orlando, but that the pilot did not want to make an announcement in case it upset the dismantled passenger.

Once the plane landed in Orlando, the hellish passenger was escorted off of the flight. After he was taken off the flight, the rest of the plane had to unload. Passengers then waited for a new crew to take over the rest of the flight before heading to Boston. According to the New York Post, the passenger has not been arrested. He was deemed to be intoxicated and was transferred to a hospital to be treated.

Unfortunately, this type of disturbance is not the first to happen aboard a flight. Recently, there was a bizarre freak-out after a woman demanded to get off a flight saying that another one of the passengers aboard was “not real.” Another incident where a demon manifestation took place on a Frontier Airlines flight presented a woman on the flight the opportunity to preach the gospel, sing praises and share about the power of Christ.

While flights can be nerve-wracking for many, it’s outbursts like these that are a reminder to pray for God’s protection in all places and in the middle of all circumstances. {eoa}
