Why Words of Knowledge Are in No Way Reserved for ‘Elite’ Christians

What if you could take your faith walk to a whole new level, add some fun, stretch yourself a little, experience the wild and go to new heights in your faith walk with God?

Well, I believe a great starting point is to let God’s supernatural gifts of the Spirit flow through you. Yes, they have been given a bad rap at times, but we continue to see good reports as people on world stages are stepping into the activation of these gifts in a new, fresh and relevant, but more relational, way. For decades, people have felt some of these gifts were for the fasters, the pastors and the super elite in Christianity.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

God wants to use all of us to demonstrate His awesomeness. The word of knowledge is one of those incredible gifts of the Spirit that Paul the apostle invites us to pursue in 1 Corinthians 12.

I’m sure Paul never thought to himself how complicated it would be centuries later for the people of God to work out their stance on who would be qualified to operate in these tools for transformation. Shawn decided years ago that to chase God was to chase all that He had for him, with the gifts of the Spirit being one of the many priorities.

For Shawn, hearing the voice of God and operating in the gifts were learned and developed mostly in the marketplace in the early stages of his journey. He began to see incredible things take place, ultimately ruining him for the ordinary. In this three-part series on the word of knowledge, Shawn invites you into the failures, successes, mystery and great impact that stepping out and activating this incredible gift has. It’s for everyone, just like the gospel.
