When Terrorists Quote the Book of Ezekiel

This week, a Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip decided to twist a chapter of the Bible and threaten one of Israel’s senior leaders. Hamas declared that they would blame Israel for the coronavirus if residents of Gaza start dying. Blaming Israel for negative things that happen is nothing new, and has been going on for centuries. Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, however, took it a step further.

He quoted Ezekiel 17 to Israel’s defense minister, Naftali Bennet, in an apparent threat against Israel and the Jewish people. It seems, though, that Sinwar didn’t read to the end of the chapter, when God reveals His plan to exalt Israel. In nearly all the biblical passages concerning Israel, one simply needs to read to the end of the chapter, or maybe the next chapter, to find out God’s amazing plan of redemption and restoration for His chosen people.

The Joshua and Caleb Report podcast is a weekly show that broadcasts radical, biblical truths straight from Israel’s biblical heartland. Don’t settle for lies and negativity—listen to our weekly show to be empowered to stand confidently with God’s land and people.

Besides talking about Hamas and Ezekiel, this week’s show brings you the latest from Israeli politics, including the unity government that may be falling apart. Also, learn more about the holiday of Passover, and the deep meaning that it has for Christians. Isn’t a feast of unleavened bread kind of like a meatless barbecue? We’ll tackle this question, and more, on today’s show.
