The Common Ground the White House Shares with Biblical Babylon

Share:

Imagine having a house-warming party while the house is on fire. (CNN would call it, “a fiery, but mostly fun party.”) Or, a team dumping a cooler of Gatorade on their coach after losing by 28 points.

President Biden’s bazaar party on the White House lawn last Tuesday, to celebrate the signing of the “Inflation Reduction Act,” was just about that ridiculous. It was held literally on the same day that new inflation data came out showing an 8.3% inflation rate and the Dow plunging more than 1200 points—the worst since June 2020. There were about 1,000 party activists, business executives, union leaders and lawmakers in attendance.

In Daniel 5, we read the story of King Belshazzar throwing a party for “1,000 of his nobles in Babylon.” They drank from the sacred vessels taken from the temple in Jerusalem and praised their idols (verses 2-4). Then, in the middle of the party, a hand appeared and began writing on the plaster wall. Daniel interpreted the writing to mean that God had numbered the days of his reign, that he had been weighed on the balances and had not measured up and that his kingdom would be handed over to another (verses 26-28). That was fulfilled that very night.

According to Herodotus, an ancient Greek historian and geographer, there was a moat protecting Babylon utilizing the Euphrates River. But the Medes apparently diverted the water of the Euphrates, allowing them to wade in shallow water right into the city. To divert the waters of the mighty Euphrates likely took some time to accomplish. And one would think the water level of the moat would go down gradually. But Belshazzar and his cohorts were too busy patting each other on the back to even notice.

Some Similarities with Babylon

The celebration at the White House was promoted as a celebration of the passage of the “Inflation Reduction Act,” but it will do anything but reduce inflation. As anyone who watched the event with a split screen (one screen reporting the financial markets) observed, like the Babylonians, they had no cause to celebrate. Any economist worth their salt will tell you its not going to reduce inflation but only cause more.

According to the non-partisan CBO, it will cost the middle class $20B in new taxes. And even former Treasury Secretary for Clinton and Obama, Larry Summers, is “appalled” by the private equity carve outs in the bill, according to “Fortune” magazine.

The liberal media outlets immediately dropped the fake title after its passage and began to call it what it really is: “The Climate Healthcare and Tax Bill.” Reuters tweeted out, “Biden signs into law a $430 billion climate, healthcare and tax bill that is seen as the biggest climate package in U.S. history.”

Drinking From the Sacred Vessels and Praising Their Idols

So, there was much more for this radical administration to celebrate than the fake title. They were celebrating an alleged bounce in polls toward Dems after the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Talk about drinking from sacred vessels! They were celebrating their (at least perceived) good fortune at the expense of sacred human lives.

Also, like the Babylonians, they were celebrating by praising their idols—idols of the climate, open borders, soft on crime and a weaponized DOJ, FBI and IRS.

And akin to the Euphrates in Babylon, in recent years, radically-liberal California has allowed its own water levels to decrease to dangerous levels. A headline in “NEWSWARS” last year read, “Green New Deal: California To Cut Off Water Supply Over Drought—After Dumping Trillions of Gallons of Freshwater Into Ocean!” The sub-title expounded with this: “California State Water Board is manufacturing a drought by draining reservoirs into the ocean under the guise of protecting wildlife.”

Moreover, pushing their radical “green” agenda, they have also allowed their electric power grid to get dangerously low. Just days after announcing a ban on the sale of new gasoline vehicles by 2035, a bump in the temperatures created the possibility of widespread rolling blackouts. Californians were told not to charge their EVs between 4:00-9:00 pm. Keep in mind that California is Biden’s and the Democrats’ model for the green utopia they yearn for.

Weighed on the Balances?

A “handwriting on the wall” of the White House in the backdrop would have made the celebration complete. Although there was no such physical manifestation, perhaps in the realm of the Spirit, there was a similar divine edict. Of course, I wish President Biden no physical harm as in the case of King Belshazzar. But perhaps during their celebration, he was “weighed on the balances” and found to not measure up. And perhaps it was determined that “his kingdom will be handed over to another.” Let’s hope and pray that will partially occur on November 8 and be complete in 2024.

And He will use us, the American people. I believe we are much smarter than this administration gives us credit for. They can try to redefine the name of the climate, healthcare and tax bill as “The Inflation Reduction Act.” They can try to redefine a recession from two quarters of negative growth of GDP to “the three-month moving average of the unemployment rate rises by at least half a percentage point relative to its lowest point in the previous 12 months.”

They can try to redefine the murder of babies as “Women’s Healthcare.” They can even try to redefine a man and a woman! But we not only know what’s going on, but we are also appalled that they have insulted our intelligence. {eoa}
