Muslims Riot on Temple Mount to Protest Jewish Presence

Share:

Tisha b’Av, the day on the Hebrew calendar when Jews commemorate the destruction of the first and second holy temples in Jerusalem, fell this year on Sunday. Close to 2,000 Jews ascended the Mount on the occasion.

Police initially banned the Jews from visiting, fearing Arab violence. The site is the holiest for Jews and the third-holiest for Muslims.

Despite the violence, which was expected, the police reversed the decision and allowed the Jews to enter, fighting off thousands of Muslim rioters. Watch what happened here. {eoa}
