One Clear Indicator That You’re Dealing With a False Prophet

In Matt. 24:10-13, Jesus says, “Then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another. And many false prophets will rise and will deceive many. Because iniquity will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

The Greek word used in these verses for “many” means a “great multitude”. In the last days there will be a great multitude of countless false prophets who will arise and will mislead a great multitude of countless people. The time is now, the place is here in America (and elsewhere), and they are all around us. Do you see them? Do you know who they are?

True prophets are rare and few in number. Elijah was just one prophet who stood and spoke against 450 false prophets of Baal who were very popular at the time. Micaiah the prophet was alone when Ahab’s 400 false prophets gave him a favorable prophesy for battle. Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Amos, Nehemiah, Elisha and too many others to name were always a very small number (usually one) who went against the many, many false prophets of their day. Jesus was going against the grain when He had the whole world of legal scholars of the different sects of the Pharisees against Him. Paul was mostly alone in his efforts to go up against the large numbers of false teachers of the religions of his day everywhere he went. Today it is no different. I believe the vast majority of preachers, prophets, evangelist and pastors we have today are false teachers, teaching ear-tickling messages that give people a false hope in exchange for money and power.

The true message of God is to repent of your sins and to love the Lord with all your heart and soul and everything within you. Any messenger of God who speaks to you only of blessings without addressing your sins is a false prophet. Almost none of the so-called prophets of our day are addressing the sins of the American Christian church but are promising many fleshly desires for the gain of money and power. They are everywhere, do you see them?
