I Heard the Lord Say, ‘Here Come the Firewalkers’

Share:

Recently, as I was sitting in the presence of God, my feet began to burn. The sensation ran up to my calves, and my feet felt hot and sensitive. I asked the Holy Spirit what was happening, and I heard Him say, “Here come the firewalkers.”

The Holy Spirit impressed on me that in the coming months, He is raising up and releasing the ones who have learned to walk in the fire. They have conquered the hot coals of the enemy and trampled on the ashes of the past. This is a word to those who have been through trials and have overcome by the Spirit of God. Where the enemy has meant evil in your life, subjecting you to intense trials, you have learnt to stand in the midst and overcome by the presence of Jesus.

The account in Daniel 3:1-30 of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego holds a key—these were the first firewalkers, three Israelites who refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar and his gold idol. Rather they trusted in God’s ability to save them (Dan. 3:17, NLT). For this they were banished to death in a furnace so hot that the men who took them there died (Dan. 3:22). Then in a shocking turn of events, as everyone watched on, they were miraculously joined by the angel of the Lord, who protected them with the presence of the Most High God.

God’s presence saved them from harm and led to their liberation—”They didn’t even smell of smoke” (Dan. 3:27c), the Scripture declares. Their obedience and deep devotion to God led to their salvation and eventually their promotion (Dan. 3:30).

Likewise, there are some who have felt as if they have been thrown into the fire through situations they have encountered.

In the face of adversity, as the flames have tried to engulf you, you have been steadfast in your obedience to follow and trust in Almighty God to rescue you. You have learned to find refuge in the presence of the Holy Spirit, despite the heat that has tried to engulf you. You have learnt to stand and use your voice to declare the Word of God over the situation. Do you realize how precious to the Lord you are because of the challenges you have faced and not flinched? He has met you in the flames to assure you of His love for you and to equip you for what is ahead.

These ordeals, originally designed by the enemy to destroy, have instead created powerful overcomers.

You have learned how to walk in the fire and not be burned—not even smell of smoke. You are a faithful one who is coming out of the fire with courage and authority that will lead others. Just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, you too will be promoted from this season.

God is releasing these ones as a sign that He is righting the wrongs for His people.

You have learnt to walk in the Spirit’s overcomer anointing and have received a new level of authority. You are the ones of Malachi 4:3 (AMPC): “You shall tread down the lawless and the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in that day that I shall do this, says the Lord of hosts.” As God has rescued you, you have been given authority to overcome the lawless and the wicked; the fire of God has burned up the enemy’s lies like dust under your feet. You are now a firewalker, able to walk on coals and not be burned. You will establish the kingdom of God because you understand that obedience leads to humility and humility leads to overcoming. You have received the keys to the kingdom.

In fact, Isaiah 61:3 (MEV) declares the turnaround for you. “Beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning.” God takes every plan of the enemy, and He doubles the restoration (Isa. 61:7). Where the enemy meant for the fire to destroy you, it has only purified you. You are radiant with beauty and joy (no whiff of smoke on you).

You are the ones who follow in Jesus’ footsteps, like Isaiah speaks of when he declares, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!'”(Isa. 52:7). You declare the victory of God in every step you take and every word you proclaim. The power of the oppressor has been broken, and you are walking out as an overcomer.

Here come the firewalkers! {eoa}
