Alan Chambers Is Deceiving the Church With New Book, Says Ex-Lesbian

Is it shocking to you that many in the church are being deceived? It shouldn’t be. The Bible tell us that these things will happen in the last days. “Take heed that ye be not deceived” (Luke 21:8, KJV).

Alan Chambers, ex-president of Exodus International, is releasing his new book My Exodus from Fear to Grace. I do not want to give this book any legs, but when I heard that Lisa Ling (host of This is Life with Lisa Ling on CNN) wrote the foreward on his new book, I thought I needed to say something regarding the deceit into which Alan has fallen into.

Ling is the journalist that helped Alan and Leslie Chambers come together with some of those in the homosexual community. She facilitated a meeting so those who had been through Exodus, that felt they didn’t get the results they wanted, could tell their stories. It was at that meeting that they asked the Chambers to shut down Exodus International, and eventually, they did just that.

It’s one thing to enter into communication with the LGBT community to share about the work that God has done and continues to do in our lives, but it’s another thing to enter into agreement with false teaching in order to be “liked” by all.

“Grace may be defined as the unmerited or undeserving favor of God to those who are under condemnation.” – Paul Enns said in the Moody Handbook of Theology (p. 196).

Grace is not a license to sin or live as one pleases.

Just because Alan Chambers has chosen to support groups within the LGBT community doesn’t mean he is in line with biblical principles.

In Acts 20:29 it says “For I know that after my departure, dreadful wolves will enter among you, not sparing the flock.” In order to not be deceived by those who claim to be leaders in the faith, we need to be diligent in diving into God’s word. This is how you guard your heart from being deceived by what others are saying or proclaiming.

“Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed]” (2 Thessalonians 2:3, AMP).

As the body of Christ, the church, we should not be looking to man for direction on how to live our lives. It should always and only be Jesus. The Bible says, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matt. 7:22-23, KJV).

These folks didn’t lose their salvation did they? The question should be were they ever saved to begin with? “I never knew you” implies that they didn’t make Jesus Lord of their lives, yet outwardly they appear to be high-profile Christian leader in the church. They called Him Lord, performed all kinds of deeds, but really didn’t know Him.

I’m writing this to the body of Christ because I’m tired of seeing leaders deceive the church. Some will call me names for writing this article, it won’t be the first time and I’m certain it won’t be the last. I personally believe that the spiritual dishonesty of which Christ warned us has become widespread within the church.

I believe we have been warned as the Lord has warned His disciples that “They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service” (John 16:2, KJV). We cannot continue to allow ourselves to be deceived because of those who claim we are “loving” those that are living contrary to God’s Word. Yes, it is the love of God that will draw them to repentance, but it is the love of God the Father that will bring correction and discipline so that they are made whole. Trust me, I know all about it.

The enemy seeks to exterminate all that is true. It’s time to operate in compassion without compromising God’s truth. It’s time that we wake up and watch and pray. {eoa}
