Mandisa and Tye Tribbett each received three Grammy Award nominations Friday. Tasha Cobbs, Natalie Grant and Matt Maher also excelled with a pair of nominations each.

Mandisa’s Overcomer release brought her accolades, with two nominations for the title track as Best Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) Song and Best Gospel/CCM Performance, and one for the album as Best CCM Album.

Tribbett was nominated in categories of Best Gospel/CCM Performance, Best Gospel Song for “If He Did It Before … Same God” [Live] and Best Gospel Album for Greater Than.

Cobbs was honored with two nominations for Best Gospel/CCM Performance for “Break Every Chain,” a track from her live album Grace, which was nominated for Best Gospel Album.

Grant’s “Hurricane” received two nominations in the Best CCM Song and Best Gospel/CCM Performance categories. The song is the title track from Hurricane.

Maher’s two nominations derived from his worship album All the People Said Amen. It received a nod for Best CCM Album and for the song “Lord, I Need You.”

Matt Redman, who won six Gospel Music Association Dove Awards this year, was nominated once, in the Best CCM Album category for Your Grace Finds Me. TobyMac, who took home four Dove Awards this year, fared the same as Redman with just one Grammy nomination for “Speak Life” as Best CCM Song.

Other artists who received nominations include Building 429 and Chris Tomlin. To see a full list, go to grammy.com.

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will be presented live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 26, and will be broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m. EST.
