Jim Caviezel: Elites Don’t Want You to See New Film

Actor Jim Caviezel, who portrayed Jesus in Mel Gibson’s highly acclaimed film The Passion of the Christ almost 20 years ago, says he’s keenly aware of why many government elites don’t want people to go to the theaters to see his new film, Sound of Freedom.

The film, produced by Angel Studios and opens in theaters around the country on the 4th of July, centers around the true story on the tragedy of child trafficking. IMDB.com describes the movie as “the incredible story of a former government agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from sex traffickers.”

Considering the travesty that is happening on our southern border, where hundreds of thousands of immigrants have crossed over into the United States illegally in 2023 and have caused a much bigger problem with child trafficking than it ever has been, Cavaziel says officials in the upper echelon of our government, including those in the Department of Homeland Security, aren’t so anxious to have everyday American citizens know the truth of what is happening down there.

An undaunted Caviezel told Prophets and Patriots podcast host Jeff Tharp that Sound of Freedom is a “rejection of what they are doing to our Christian culture right now.

“A lot of Americans are not very happy with their government right now, and they see a southern border that’s completely open, and that our country is being invaded,” Caviezel told Tharp. “This Independence Day, we are not a United States.

“In order to be a country, you have to have borders. We don’t have a southern border, so we’re not a sovereign nation.”

Sound of Freedom, Caviezel says, has seen a lot of pushback and opposition from the U.S. government. He says they don’t want Americans to get information on what is really happening, and that many border agents are reluctant to testify about it, afraid of “losing their lives.

“The government doesn’t want to expose the truth of what’s going on,” Caviezel says. “They’re afraid of this film, much the same way they were terrified with The Passion of the Christ. That film completely changed their narrative on Christians.

“My career was given to me from above. My talent is not mine. I chose to serve Him [God] because I love Him. He gave me a purpose in my life and I was to expose the evil with the weapon I was given. From playing Jesus in The Passion to this new film, that spirit comes through me and makes me fearless.”

Caviezel says more than 2 million children annually are “sold” in this country, and that is “minimum.”

“It’s probably more like 6 million.”

In April, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) sent a letter to Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray demanding a full-scale effort be made to locate the nearly 85,000 migrant children that had gone missing under the Biden administration, and also to bring any child labor criminals holding them in modern-day slavery to justice, hawley.senate.gov reported.

Caviezel told Tharp that Sound of Freedom is a movie that God has ordained to help take down the evils act of the sex trade. He has been chastised by some in the media and on the left for doing the film, but says “what you media think of me is none of my business. He hopes people will choose to see Sound of Freedom as an obligation to God that we, as Christians, have to help stop child trafficking.

“God’s children are not for sale, and God needs you now,” Caviezel says. “When God tells you to do something, you don’t hesitate. Go out there, be a voice now. Buy a ticket to this movie now because more theaters mean more people.

“Start organizing like you did during The Passion and your voice will be heard. Eventually, whistleblowers will start coming forward and will start telling the truth, and that truth will set them free. Once that occurs, people will no longer be afraid and all of this stuff will start coming out about what these elites have been doing to our children. All of the government is going to be quaking at its knees. In the words of [Ronald] Reagan, evil is powerless if the good are unafraid,” Caviezel says.

“They know it’s coming. The world is going to have a rude awakening, and it will be worse than anything anybody has ever seen. What they are doing wounds God greatly. That’s why we need to look into our hearts. If we all get involved, it all stops. It’s over. His [Satan’s] reign of terror is over.” {epa}
