Should You Avoid Water to Guard Against Marine Demons?

Share:

I just finished swimming laps in the hotel pool. I get some of my best revelation from the Lord in the water. I feel like He draws me there to speak to me. I remember when I birthed my racial reconciliation corporation, Change Into Colorless, I spent weeks in my pool late at night receiving downloads of information from the Lord. Afterward, I would have to go inside and journal.

I’ve been told by people to stay away from the water because of marine spirits. I’ve been told to be careful and not to have an unhealthy attraction to water. If I have to be careful of water, does that mean I can’t drink it or that I have to pray over my water before consuming it?

If I’m hesitant of water because of marine spirits, then I guess I shouldn’t be getting on an airplane, because Satan is the prince of the air (Eph. 2:2). I’m not going to live in fear of earth elements. I like to sit by a fire, feel the wind through my sunroof and go to the beach. The enemy is a counterfeit! I will refuse to fear. It is much better to enjoy life and live without thinking there is a demon around every corner.

I know the spiritual realm is real, alive and active. I am a deliverance minister. I can see demons on buildings, in cities, on people, so much that when I go on a date with my husband, I pray and ask the Lord to turn off my seer ability for the evening so we can simply relax and have a good time. I recently went on a private snorkeling tour in Tobago. My husband and I were in the water for over an hour, and not one time did I see a marine demon under the water. If I had listened to all the extreme chatter from people about staying out of the water, I would have missed God’s beautiful creation undersea.

When do we get into extremism and paranoia giving the enemy too much credit? The Holy Spirit baptizes with fire, and we know that hell is a blaze of fire. Does that mean we stay away from the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire because hell is also represented by fire? What about the wind? The Holy Spirit is the Ruach Ha’Kodesh, the breath and wind of God, but Satan also is the prince of the air, Ephesians 2:2. Does that mean we don’t breathe because we might breathe in a demon?

Jesus said, “Look, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). We cannot be afraid to live life. We can’t give the enemy unnecessary credit and attention. He doesn’t deserve our focus; Jesus does. If people would remove the extremism and giving the enemy too much credit, perhaps the church would embrace the ministry of deliverance. However, when extremism comes forth, people are interpreting Scriptures inaccurately about the demonic, and they believe a demon is behind everything. People are kept in captivity because of our overboard thinking. Meanwhile, the church doesn’t value deliverance ministry and instead chooses to ignore that portion of the Bible where Jesus cast out demons because we can’t come to a common agreement how it should be done or if a Christian can have a demon.

Let’s get back to the basics. God created the earth, including earth elements. Satan is a counterfeit. The demonic realm is real, but there is not a demon behind every corner. I’m going to keep my focus on Jesus, cast out demons when I have to and keep going to my nightly bath where I soak, pray and relax at the end of a long day and commune with Jesus. And my husband and I are going to continue the fellowship we have in the swimming pool with each other every Sunday after church. We can’t wait to get in and soak in the sun and Son and pray together. I thank the Lord that He is the living water! {eoa}
