Cornerstone TV Covers How God Used Donald Trump to Answer Many Prayers

Last week, I had the pleasure of appearing on Don and Teri Black’s Real Life show on their Cornerstone Television Network. Don and Teri interviewed me about how God has used Donald Trump to answer many prayers, which I document in my latest book, Trump Aftershock.

As I told Don and Teri, I wrote my first political book, God and Donald Trump, and its sequel, Trump Aftershock, because I felt no one was telling the story of what’s happening spiritually in our nation. In our culture, no one talks about what God’s will is on a larger scale. Yet God raised up this very unlikely person, Donald Trump, to be America’s president.

I understand that a lot of people don’t like Trump. He can be harsh in his rhetoric and sometimes calls people names. Although sometimes, he turns out to be right. For instance, he called Kim Jong Un “Little Rocket Man,” and everyone thought he would start World War III. Instead, he got Kim to the negotiating table!

If nothing else, Trump is shaking things up in our nation—and I think that’s an answer to prayer. Our country was heading in the wrong direction, and God raised up an unexpected president in the form of a billionaire businessman.

If that election was an earthquake, everything that has happened since then are the aftershocks—and many are quite good! In Trump Aftershock, I detail the things Trump has done to help our nation, including boosting our economy, moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and putting Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court bench. All of these are aftershocks.

Unfortunately, though, there have also been some negative aftershocks. The secular side—including leftist billionaire radicals—of our society is trying to derail what Trump is doing. The truth is that they go against everything we stand for.

Trump, on the other hand, has stood for religious freedom time and again. In fact, the most recent aftershock is how he helped free pastor Andrew Brunson from imprisonment in Turkey. Brunson, a Spirit-filled American missionary, was wrongfully accused of treason and put in prison for two years before being placed under house arrest. Trump placed sanctions on Turkey—causing the Turkish lyra and stock market to plummet—until the country freed Brunson.

In my book, I document each of these accomplishments as well as the left’s attacks against Trump. I like to say that, in a journalistic sense, the book is written for the secular reader, but it still comes from a Christian perspective.
