Four months ago, the actor and rapper known as "Ice Cube" said Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was "what Americans love." Now, he's changed his tune.

During a profanity-laced interview on "Too $hort's BoomBox"a podcast dedicated to politics and current events hosted by the West Coast hip-hop rapper, music producer and actor known as "Too $hort"—Ice Cube said he wished President Obama could serve a third term. He said he found both Trump and Hillary Clinton lacking, although he said the Democratic presidential nominee was the "lesser of two evils."

The Muslim convert said he believed there was a "better choice" for Americans.

"The option is, make sure you get your [expletive] up to go to work in the morning, no matter who's the president," he said. "That's the option. It don't even matter which one of them [expletive] becomes president.

"The thing is, you are still not going to have the power to change what they want to do. You have the power to change your situation. I think you should focus on that."

Ice Cube was asked to help undecided voters make up their minds before the Nov. 8 election. Again, he offered a profanity-filled suggestion.

"Who would you want your kids to [expletive] hang out with for a weekend?" he asked. "It's just that simple. Who you want your kids to be with—Uncle Donald or Aunt Hillary? Who'd you want to watch nieces and nephews?"

While the sentiments may seem disturbing, they shine a light on what Trump has been hitting on with his appeals to African-American voters. America's inner cities need to see that things are going to get better.

But, these comments also suggest there's still a long way to go to win over those potential voters.
