Bishop George Davis’ song “Morning Time” is quickly moving up the national Billboard recording industry charts. The pastor of Impact Church in Jacksonville, Florida, recorded the album out a keen desire to penetrate “every area of culture” to share the gospel with this generation.

The song, “Captured by Your Love” is comes from his passion to encourage men and women whose struggles seem almost overwhelming. And the support from radio stations and music buyers across the country has been remarkable.

As a native of Detroit, Michigan, George Davis didn’t start out with the goal of preaching. He grew up singing at various Motown venues, alongside gospel greats, Commissioned, the Winans, the Clark Sisters, JMoss, William Murphy and others. “Morning Time”—the first release from his debut album (Captured by Your Love) is a song written by Davis and co-produced, mixed and recorded by Ken Andres of AmazeMix Media. AmazeMix is the “sound” behind many of today’s Stellar nominated and Billboard chart topping hits.

But eventually God’s call to preach became the primary focus of his life. Bishop Davis pastors Impact Church—a thriving ministry of over 4,000 active worshippers in Jacksonville, Florida, and oversees 12 other churches throughout Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Texas and Peru. In addition, he functions as life coach and counselor to several professional athletes, political figures and business leaders. As an author and TV personality, Davis is thrilled to share the encouraging message of “Morning Time” with the world, and the world is taking notice.

“My calling to share the gospel isn’t limited to the pulpit. It’s a lifelong passion to tell the story of Jesus through music, television and, one day, movies,” said Davis in an interview recently. There’s no question this culture needs to be changed, and regardless of the success of one particular song, George Davis isn’t giving up.

You can find “Morning Time” on his album Captured by Your Love at iTunes or record stores near you.
