Faith Community Wars in the Spirit Against Rapper’s New ‘Satan Shoes,’ Vulgar Music Video
American rapper Lil Nas X released a limited edition of “Satan Shoes” today, complete with a pentagram, an inverted cross and a drop of real human blood.
Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, collaborated with provocative art collective MSCHF to create the red and black sneakers, which reference Luke 10:18 on the sides. The verse reads: “He said to them, ‘I saw Satan as lightning fall from heaven.'”
The singer also released a video over the weekend titled, “Lil Nas X Apologizes for Satan Shoe.” Lacking any trace of an apology, it depicts his newest explicit music video, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).”

As I recently stated, America’s stage 4 cancer is progressing at an alarming rate (you can read the prognosis here). The warning is dire, and the outcome looks hopeless. The signs of impending death are most evident in our pulpits and our pews:
— Weakness and exhaustion from not obeying God’s Word.
— Spiritually asleep, often spending most of the day consuming social media, Netflix or the latest popular TV show.
— Loss of spiritual disciplines: Fasting is old-school; prayer is passé; church is outdated; and holiness is weird.
— Minimal or no appetite for God; difficulty eating or swallowing absolute truth.
America was founded by those who spoke out for what they believed. Our Pilgrim and Puritan forefathers traveled across the Atlantic to find a place where they could express their views, particularly their religious ones, without fear of reprisal. And the Founding Fathers wrote the First Amendment to further protect our rights, including freedom of the press, freedom of religion and freedom of speech.
But MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell says today’s cancel culture has effectively canceled those First Amendment rights. He and his company have experienced this cancelation firsthand: first because of his championing of former President Donald Trump and then over his consistent pursuit of election integrity. But none of this intimidates him, and he intends to press forward in the pursuit of truth and liberty.
