End-Times Expert: What Latest Lunar Eclipse Means Prophetically for Israel

2019 01 Blood Moon 2

Skywatchers will be keeping their eyes out for a total lunar eclipse this weekend. In fact, in 2014 and 2015, the world witnessed four consecutive total eclipses of the moon, known as a tetrad.

One pastor and author says events like these have historically been accompanied by significant developments for the nation of Israel.

Mark Biltz’s soon-to-be-released book, Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times: What the Bible Says and What the Future Holds, takes an in-depth look at some of the deepest questions surrounding the Antichrist. He says the eclipse that will begin late Sunday and finish early Monday (ET), called the “super blood wolf moon eclipse,” will be a total lunar eclipse over North America, including Washington D.C., at a time when the full moon is at the closest point of its orbit to the earth.

“The super blood moon this year is also known as a wolf moon, being the first full moon of the year,” Biltz recently told WND. “There are some incredible patterns that are happening that seem beyond coincidence.”

Biltz bases his celestial observations on Genesis 1:14, which says the heavenly bodies serve “as signs to mark sacred times.” He explains his findings in his previous book, Blood Moons, which draws from earlier works, God’s Day Timer and The Feasts of the Lord.

He noted that the 2014 and 2015 blood moons fell on Jewish holidays, and that the eclipse this weekend “just so happens” to be on the date of President Donald Trump’s inauguration two years ago.

“Trump was born on the night of June 14, 1946, within 15 minutes of a total lunar eclipse and 700 days before the state of Israel was established,” Biltz said. “When he was sworn in as president on Jan. 20, 2017, he was 70 years old, seven months and seven days. Also, very significantly, the super blood moon also falls on the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shevat. Even more significant is the fact that there was another blood moon on Tu B’Shevat last year. Last year, the blood moon was seen over the Middle East, and this year, will be seen over the U.S.”

Biltz said that from a biblical standpoint, having two blood moons on the same biblical holiday two years in a row is very significant.

“The Bible says that everything is to be established by two or three witnesses,” he said. “As a matter of fact, the Bible says in Psalms 89 that God’s covenant with Israel and King David is forever, and the sun and the moon are to be His faithful witnesses in heaven confirming that.

“Our calendar is different than the biblical calendar,” Biltz added. “Our January is about equivalent to the biblical month of Shevat. Tu B’Shevat means the 15th day of the month of Shevat. The book of Leviticus 19:23-25 speaks of when Israel plants trees in their promised land, they cannot eat the fruit of it till the fifth year, as the previous years it is considered holy. So Tu B’Shevat, which is when spring is about to begin in Israel, it was determined that would be the day all trees planted the year before would be considered one year old to make it easier to keep the commandment.”

Biltz believes God is saying the nations will not determine the boundaries of Jerusalem, but He will.

“Jerusalem will not have walls, and the God of Israel will protect her,” he said. “The big problem at that time, and at this same time as well, is the people of the nation of Israel not understanding it is the time to rebuild the temple. So, in conclusion, I am not saying it is the end of the world or that anything will happen on the 20th. I am saying the patterns show this year could possibly bring a war in the Middle East, but Israel will be victorious, and we may see a declaration for the rebuilding of the temple.”

With his expertise in blood moons, Biltz also asks deep questions in his new book, Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times, including the following:

  • What does the Bible say about the Antichrist, his tactics and his motivation?
  • Will he be a Muslim, a Jew or a Christian—or something else?
  • Will the Antichrist work through modern technology to take over?

Mark Biltz is founder of El Shaddai Ministries and a well-known and popular commentator on the feasts of the Lord. In fact, he has produced a series of DVDs on the feasts that have gone around the world. Biltz is also the author of Blood Moons and God’s Day Timer. His research and theories have led to guest appearances on both radio and television as well as being featured on the covers of magazines.

Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times, set for release March 5, is published by Charisma House, which publishes books that challenge, encourage, teach and equip Christians, including 14 New York Times‘ best-sellers.
