Tuesday on The 700 Club, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said that President Obama “refuses to behave like an American president.”

Gingrich went on to call Harry Reid, “a Senate Majority Leader as abrasive, as arrogant, and, candidly, as dishonest about the process.” Watch Gingrich’s interview below.

Some Brody File analysis: Look, the question here is not about when the government will re-open. The question is who blinks first? History suggests the GOP will blink.

However, this time around it’s not so clear cut. What is clear cut is that the Tea Party wanted this fight over a government shutdown and now they’re going to have to back it up at the ballot box in the 2014 Midterm Elections.

The press, the Democrat Party, and, yes, many within the GOP think the moves by Tea Party lawmakers will severely damage the Republican Party politically. The only way for the Tea Party to prove them all wrong is to get millions of constitutional conservatives mobilized and activated.

Otherwise, it’s all talk and no action. Time to put up or shut up. You may not like the terminology but it’s true.
