Ex-New Age Expert Blasts Heresy Deceiving the Masses

Former New Age expert Steven Bancarz blasted a heresy deceiving many in his former community.

The misinterpretation stems from Psalm 82:6-7 which states: “I have said, ‘You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you, but you all shall die like men, and fall like a man, O princes.'”

“As you can imagine, this passage has caused a lot of confusion, especially in the New Age movement,” Bancarz says. “It’s often interpreted gnostically to mean that we are little gods ascending up the ladder of deification or mystically to mean that God is within all things and therefore within us. And it’s usually presented with gusto and confidence as if it’s sort of a knockdown argument against Christianity.”

So what did Jesus mean when he reiterated the passage in John 10?
