Despite Pro-Abortion Mobs Yelling ‘Hail, Satan,’ Babies Win

They came with their chants of “Hail, Satan,” their containers of fecesbricks and, yes, reportedly even used feminine hygiene products to hurl at those who simply want to protect babies who can feel the cruel pain of abortion. Yet they did not prevail.

Pro-abortion protesters went to extreme lengths (and President Obama stood with them) in an attempt to prevent the will of the people from defending the defenseless—unborn babies.

In the end, abortion fanatics lost; babies won.

The Texas legislature, in the early morning hours Saturday, passed a bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks and enforce strict safety requirements on abortion clinics.

In short, this is a Gosnell law—a law to prevent what abortionist Kermit Gosnell did to countless babies and their expectant mothers in Pennsylvania from ever happening in Texas. The bill, expected to be signed into law by Gov. Rick Perry, will prevent abortions from being committed after 20 weeks; make abortion clinics meet the same critical minimum safety standards as hospitals, including the ability to save the lives of babies born alive; and regulate abortionists to protect expectant mothers.

NARAL Pro-Choice America, Planned Parenthood and other radical abortion promoters complain this law will decimate abortion clinics in the state. The fact is it will save lives—babies’ lives and the health and lives of expectant mothers.

The debate (if you can call throwing feces and bricks a debate) over these laws marks a critical turning point, a watershed moment, for abortion. For the first time, the extreme anti-life agenda of the abortion industry, with its “abortion on demand without apology” mantra, is being displayed for all to see.

Try as they might, the mainstream media cannot cover the bill they detest without showing the outrageous actions of the pro-abortion extremists. They cannot continue pushing their “War on Women” propaganda while at the same time fighting against laws that will protect women, that will stop future Gosnells from preying on them.

An overwhelming majority of America opposes abortion after the first trimester, and a majority considers itself pro-life.

The abortion industry is losing its blinding lock on the American public, and it is searching for anything to latch on to. All it finds is the pure evil and extreme fanaticism upon which abortion and the abortion distortion (the way we treat abortion differently than anything else) rest.

It has been said that its ideological adherents worship at the altar of abortion. This is becoming more evident than ever. As one abortion worshipper tweeted me after this bill passed, “HAIL SATAN, Allah Hu Akbar [or] anything else that scares [you] people.”

The sad irony is that these individuals fight for a cause; our cause fights for individuals.  We simply stand up for the human rights of babies—babies who can feel pain, babies who deserve the same opportunities as every other human being on this planet.

What happened this weekend in Texas isn’t just a win for pro-lifers; it isn’t just a victory for the rule of law and the will of the people; it is a win for babies.

And that is a victory worth fighting for.

Now, as an important side note, the abortion industry isn’t just opposed to laws that prevent babies from being aborted; they are pushing laws that would shut down pro-life pregnancy centers that help women in their greatest time of need. Sign the petition to stop these pro-abortion laws as we defend pro-life centers in court.
