Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina is calling for the impeachment of President Joe Biden after the debacle and embarrassment of Afghanistan, telling Newsmax host Rob Schmitt that “this is the most dishonorable thing a commander in chief has done in modern times.”
Graham says that the conditions Biden has created are now ripe for another 9/11 incident in America. Consequently, Biden’s approval ratings have plummeted to 41%, according to a recent USA Today poll and his withdrawal of U.S. troops have left Afghan allies to suffer at the hands of the Taliban.
“Joe Biden, for political reasons, wanted to pull all of our troops out because of the polling numbers, and what has he done?” Graham says. ” … He’s abandoned thousands of people who honorably and bravely fought along with us, and how do you win this war over time if you have nobody to help you over there? How to you keep it from our shores if all of us are here?”
Graham also claimed that Biden has “endangered America’s national security with the withdrawal and with the current border crisis. He also noted that Americans and allies stuck behind enemy lines because of the botched withdrawal “are going to be slaughtered when we leave.”
“I didn’t think anybody could screw up the world in seven months like this,” Graham says. “We’re going to leave American citizens behind because we can’t get everybody out by Aug. 31. So, there’s a perfect storm for a lot of people being killed who helped us and for another 9/11.”
