Gospel Singer Dies at 30 After Collapsing on Stage

On Dec. 13, Brazilian gospel singer Pedro Henrique tragically passed away while performing on stage at a religious event in Feira de Santana. The 30-year-old musician was singing his hit song “Vai Ser Tão Lindo” when he suddenly lost his balance, fell backward and collapsed in front of his band.

In a chilling moment captured on video, Henrique held his microphone in the air, urging the crowd to sing along before he brought it back to his mouth and collapsed. People rushed to help him, while the crowd watched in shock. The performance was being broadcast live on social media channels.

Henrique leaves behind his wife, Suilan Barreto, and their 2-month-old daughter, Zoe.

Christian Veteran Destroys Satanic Altar at Iowa Capitol

In an act of religious conviction, Michael Cassidy, a Christian and former military officer, recently tore down and beheaded a controversial Satanic altar at the Iowa Capitol. The display had already sparked ongoing debate about the role of religious displays in public spaces and the limits of free speech.

The Satanic Temple of Iowa had recently received permission to install the exhibit, which included a statue depicting the idol Baphomet holding a pentacle and surrounded by candles, on the first floor of the Iowa Capitol near displays of the Nativity. Cassidy pushed over and decapitated the statue before discarding the head in a trash can.

Cassidy turned himself into police officers present in the Iowa Capitol, and the Satanic Temple of Iowa has expressed its desire to press charges. Local reports say The Republic Sentinel obtained a complaint and affidavit which said Cassidy was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Steve Strang Responds to Mike Bickle’s Personal Statement Amid Investigation

On Dec. 12, Mike Bickle released his personal statement about the allegations that were brought against him back in October. On his most recent Strang Report, Stephen Strang discussed how Christians can prayerfully and wisely discern what is happening in the midst of this case.

Speaking through Larry Tomczak’s recent article “5 Ways We Should Respond to Mike Bickle’s Statement,” and the statement posted by Bickle, Strang brought clarity to the situation.

“These things are very complicated. I believe that this kind of thing is also a spiritual attack,” Strang says, as he encouraged audiences to look at the circumstance from all possible angles, including that the enemy may have plans to bring down the International House of Prayer Kansas City. “It’s something that the enemy would want to squash. To me, what’s happening is almost like a really, really nasty church split. And there are churches where people have gotten offended, tried to oust the pastor, brought charges either true or false, or in some cases, exaggerated, and tried to bring down a ministry. And I’m very, very concerned about that.”
