Whether you’re a missions veteran or you’ve always wanted to get an up close and personal look at what missionaries experience on their journeys, Missions in Action is offering inspiration.

An ongoing series of webisodes, Missions In Action shares real stories of hope and change captured on video in different locations around the world. Now, Missions In Action has rolled out MissionsInAction.tv to showcase its interactive series.

The series is hosted by The Amazing Race 2 winner Alex Boylan and produced by award-winning Around The World Productions, creators of the popular CBS online series, Around The World For Free.

Missions In Action is a dream come true,” says Boylan. “Since I was a child, I have been fortunate to travel the globe witnessing the incredible work of missionaries. To have the chance to showcase these amazing people making a positive impact on the planet is unbelievable.”

Sponsored by Compassion International, World Vision, ChildFund and Mocha Club, each Missions In Action episode finds Boylan traveling to a different location around the globe to spotlight people with life-threatening needs and show how missionaries are bringing life-giving hope.

“The best part about this show is that the audience is able to interact at the end of each episode, take action and directly help the hurting and marginalized,” Boylan explains. “There is something amazing that happens when people embrace the act of giving and I look forward to seeing the world come together through Missions In Action.”

Recent episodes have filmed Boylan visiting a textile factory in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where human trafficking and prostitution victims weave scarves, as well as a farm in Chongwe, Zambia, where a goat is providing the means of survival for a single-parent family. Another episode took Boylan to Iloilo City, Philippines, home to a young girl raised in a cemetery who is finding a new destiny as an Olympic athlete.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring viewers another exciting show with a purpose,” said Burton Roberts, Missions In Action executive producer and co-creator, along with Boylan. “Using our television production background to bring people these powerful stories from around the world, and allowing them to respond in a direct and tangible way, is an incredible privilege.”
