Gardeners in Israel say they believe they are fulfilling both an Old Testament prophecy and reaping the blessings promised in Genesis.
“When we and our business partners Nili and Arnie Abrahams experienced the blossoming of the region around us, we realized that we were watching the prophecy of Ezekiel 36:8 comes to life, ‘But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit for My people Israel. For they shall come soon,” Rabbi Shmuel Veffer, owner of Galilee Green, told Prophecy News Watch.
Veffer co-founded Galilee Green with Nili Abrahams. Their orchards produce olive oil that is used all around the world. Their business is situated in Yavne’el in northern Israel. Historically, the land is believed to have belonged to Naphtali, a son of Jacob.
“Jacob blessed his son Naphtali to be ‘a deer let loose’,” the website states. “Our sage, Rashi, explains that this means the land designated to the tribe of Naphtali, especially in the Ginnosar Valley, is a good land where the fruits are quick to ripen. The Talmud recounts many stories about how luscious the fruits of the tribe of Naphtali were. Yet the Land became barren, according to God’s promise, when the Jewish people went into exile, only to wait for the return of the Jews.”
Both Veffer and Abrahams are Canadian transplants to Israel.
Veffer is an inventor and serial entrepreneur and is the inventor of the KosherLamp and founder of Kosher Innovations. He and his wife Chana returned to Israel in 2009 and settled in Yavne’el in 2010, according to the website.
Abrahams is certified by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a certified holistic health coach and operates her own health management practice. Nili and her husband Arnie settled in Yavne’el in August 2011, according to the website.
“We are blessed to live in the land of Israel, produce a biblical product and share these blessings with the world,” Veffer says.
“We feel that we are fulfilling biblical prophecy and Genesis 12:3, ‘I will bless them who bless you and curse him who curses you, and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” {eoa}
