Tami Martin’s dreams of walking down the aisle probably varied from the average woman.

For starters, Martin’s walk made international headlines, as it’s not everyday a paraplegic woman takes the steps to unite herself with the love of her life.

Martin broke her back in a car wreck in 1999, according to USA Today, and struggled for years in physical therapy. Doctors told her she would never walk again.

“So I put my faith in God and walked 69 feet in public for the first time,” Martin tells DailyMail UK. “It was a magical experience. To say that for 15 years I hadn’t been able to walk and then I was walking down the aisle toward Rob.”
