Sean Feucht and the ‘Let Us Worship’ crew are heading to Times Square, the heart of culture, to do what hasn’t been done yet. “It’s going to be really really powerful,” Feucht says about their worship event on Sept. 25 in New York City.

Starting at 5:00 pm Feucht and his team are going to gather together to worship, pray, give altar calls and believe for healings and miracles. Hundreds of thousands of people walk through Times Square every day. “This specific place has an opportunity for us to have a lot of collateral kingdom damage, where a lot of onlookers and people are walking by,” Feucht says.

As big cities across the country experience high crime and drug rates, Americans have been heading for the hills. A recent survey from Major Cities Chiefs Association reveals, violent crime overall has increased by 4.4% and the amount of violent offenses is much higher now than before the COVID pandemic.

Feucht says he feels a mandate, like out of the book of Isaiah, to rebuild the ruined cities.

In the book of Isaiah, the prophet proclaims that the Spirit of God has anointed him to preach the good news to the poor, heal the broken-hearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, open prison doors, proclaim the year of the Lord and comfort those who mourn.

This is what Christians are called to do today as we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, who sends us out into the world to release the kingdom of heaven in the dry and barren places. Christians have the garment of praise which the Bible says releases spirits of heaviness. There is clearly a lot of heaviness throughout America today, especially in New York City. Feucht and his team intend to use praise to release that heaviness and bring freedom to the captives.

Isaiah 61:4 says, “They shall build the old ruins; they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.”

Despite trying to get a permit every year, Feucht and his team had been unable to secure the worship event in Times Square until recently, which he attributes to the favor of God.

“We don’t need the crowd to be big because there is a lot of people all around us so we are just praying that God would draw people, and I think this is a good prophetic picture of what the church looks like post COVID,” Feucht says.

On Saturday night, the ‘Let Us Worship’ team will be at Independence Mall in Philadelphia to gather together with local believers to worship God before they head to Times Square on Sunday, Sept. 25.

Feucht’s movie ‘Superspreader’ which is all about the rise of the ‘Let Us Worship’ movement is coming out September 29th in 528 theatres across America. Go to www.superspreaderfilm.com to find a theatre near you.

Wherever you live, like Feucht, you carry the garment of praise which can release heaviness in your own life and those around you. Praise and worship God for He is mighty and worthy to be praised and watch as the weight and heavy burdens around you are lifted. {eoa}
