Quick-moving wildfires in Northern California forced hundreds to evacuate this morning.

According to CNN, over 550 homes with 1,700 residents have been ordered to evacuate due to the Kincade fire that started Wednesday night. The fire scorched more than 5,000 acres within the first three hours.

Residents of Geyserville were ordered to evacuate early Thursday morning, as strong winds caused the Kincade fire to grow to 10,000 acres, says the Press Democrat. Another fire was spotted in San Bernardino, causing 80 homes to evacuate, according to the National Forest Service.

Many are offering their prayers as evacuees leave their homes.

“Please pause for a prayer for the people of California,” one Twitter user wrote. “A bad fire is in full go.”

David J. Matyczynski wrote: “… as fire rages throughout California…..thoughts and prayers for the safety of friends…family…and all whom are there.”

Heather Dawn said: “Sending Protection Prayers to all my loved ones in Cali! Between the fires and earthquakes they live in fear because our government can’t just be Righteous.”
