Lou Engle: Why Communion Will Play a Huge Part in America’s Revival

Is it possible that revival in America and the nations will come through Communion?

Lou Engle, an intercessor for revival and co-founder of The Call global prayer and fasting movement, believes the answer is yes.

He’s calling the nation to Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Oct. 8, 2022.

“In something we are calling ‘The Great Communion Revival’, revival is coming to America and the nations,” Engle says.

Wherever he travels, Engle sees everyone taking Communion.

“I think there’s something in the Spirit that the Lord is releasing, and it is the power in the blood,” he says.

He has summoned hundreds of thousands of people around the world to prayer and fasting for more than two decades and, for 16 years, Engle has called for a shift on the Supreme Court to end abortion.

“We are calling His church from across Colorado, and representatives from every state, to come plead the blood of Jesus, to draw near to His presence and to ask God to loose a great Communion revival in America,” Engle says.

The World Arena will be the host venue for The Great Communion Revival gathering.

“Let’s dare to believe that the blood is going to draw us close to His heart, and loose a great harvest of healing,” Engle says.

Early in 2022, Engle took Communion every day for 40 days. For 21 days, Engle shared a Colorado Springs home with prayer leaders Dean Briggs and Chris Berglund, who took daily Communion with him. Learn more here: “(20) The Great Communion Revival – YouTube“.

During their stay at the Colorado Springs home, the three men discovered a book written by Beni Johnson, co-pastor of Bethel Church in Redding, California. Titled The Power of Communion, the book was a sign from God confirming their 40-days of prayer and fasting.

“I knew the Lord was speaking to us,” says Engle, “It’s Communion that brings us close to touching the body and blood in an encounter with Jesus. In Communion there’s healing, mental wellness and there’s drawing near to the presence of God,” he says.

The three leaders believe the body and blood of Jesus will be central to Christian life again, and in the coming revival.

Beyond church pulpits, movements, programs, evangelism and missions, the gathering place for believers will be around Jesus, the Lamb seated on His throne, they say. And as He poured out His spirit on the early church, the Lord will do so again as a witness to the power of the blood.

Like Israel in the shadow of high places, Colorado Springs is in the shadow of Pike’s Peak—America’s mountain.

“We’re daring to believe that the battle for the states after Roe v. Wade will be won by God, who is going to loose a great Communion encounter with His body,” Engle says.

After reading The Power of Communion by Beni Johnson, Engle asked Bethel Pastor Bill Johnson to meet with his wife before she passed. Three days after Beni Johnson’s passing in July 2022, Bill Johnson preached a sermon in which he mentioned Engle’s visit with his wife.

In a 20-minute meeting with Engle, Beni Johnson laid her hands on Engle and prayed for revival through Communion.

The Power of Communion: Accessing Miracles Through the Body and Blood of Jesus is one of Beni Johnson’s numerous published books.

The shed blood and broken body of Jesus in the Great Communion Revival speaks a better word than the blood of innocent babies and public school students, Engle believes.

Colorado was the first state to legalize abortion, and it is home to one of the nation’s first and deadliest school shootings.

Legislation that decriminalized abortion in Colorado became law on April 25, 1967. It allowed abortion in specific, limited cases including rape, incest or a prediction of permanent mental or physical disability of either the child or mother.

In 1999, the Columbine High School mass shooting was the deadliest in the nation. {eoa}
