Donald Trump Texts Followers: ‘Biden Should Resign’ After Afghanistan Disaster

Donald Trump is speaking up concerning the unfolding Afghanistan fiasco. Having been banned from the major social media outlets, the former president has limited means to communicate with those who wish to hear from him but is calling for the removal of President Joe Biden from the White House.

At 12:27 p.m. ET on Thursday he texted his followers with this message: “Biden should resign, which shouldn’t be a big deal since he wasn’t elected legitimately in the first place.”

Obviously, the former president is not backing down from the political fray as speculation continues to swirl regarding his intention to run in 2024.

Trump issued a statement on the death of U.S. service members in Kabul

Former President Donald Trump issued a statement Thursday offering condolences to the families of U.S. service members who died in an explosion at Kabul’s airport.

“Melania and I send our deepest condolences to the families of our brilliant Service Members whose duty to the U.S.A. meant so much to them,” Trump said. “Our thoughts are also with the families of the innocent civilians who died today in the savage Kabul attack.”

“This tragedy should have never been allowed to happen, which makes our grief even deeper and more difficult to understand,” Trump continued. “May God bless the U.S.A.”

Additionally, Fox News is reporting, a long list of Republican politicians are calling for Biden either to resign or be impeached. That list includes Nikki Haley, former ambassador to the United Nations.

Haley, however, isn’t thrilled about the prospect of what would happen after that.

“Should Biden step down or be removed for his handling of Afghanistan? Yes,” she tweeted. “But that would leave us with Kamala Harris, which would be 10 times worse. God help us.”

Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, tweets that, “Americans deserve better.”

“If President Trump can be impeached over a phone call, then the time has come to IMPEACH Biden for gross negligence in Afghanistan. … We deserve better than someone who willfully IGNORES the WORST crisis in decades.”

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., tweeted that Biden is unfit to be commander in chief. “Joe Biden has blood on his hands. The buck stops with the President of the United States. This horrific national security and humanitarian disaster is solely the result of Joe Biden’s weak and incompetent leadership.” {eoa}
