Company Offers ‘Baby Bonus’ to Help New Families

Families are finding support for their growth as one company bucks the corporate trend of subsidizing abortion by promoting the family unit.

CEO of Public Square Michael Seifert wants to push back against the anti-family values of larger corporations and their pro-abortion incentives and offer his employees a $5,000 bonus when they have children.

This bonus extends to employees who have a child, or choose to adopt one in the hopes of creating stronger families across the country.

As reported by the Post Millennial, “Target promised to cover abortions and travel for employees who live in states where abortion is restricted. Amazon, too, made that promise to employees. Starbucks said the same thing. Tesla, Yelp, Airbnb, Microsoft, Netflix, Patagonia, DoorDash, JPMorgan Chase, Levi Strauss, PayPal and Reddit also took the pregnancy termination pledge, along with Walt Disney Company, Meta, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Condé Nast.”

In response to the stance these companies have taken against the nuclear family, Seifert knew he had to do something in support of one of the building blocks to a functional society.

“We did see the world going in this direction that we believe is really anti-family,” Seifert told Fox News. “We think that ultimately a company is only as strong as the families that built it, and then for us, we’re a pro-family company. We’re unashamed about that. And we’re actually the largest marketplace in the country of pro-family businesses.

“So, we thought, what better way to express this value that’s core to our beliefs than actually putting some money behind it, putting our money where our mouth is,” Seifert adds.

“We wanted to sing an opposite tune and say, let’s actually put $5,000 behind any of our employees that were to have a baby, their spouses to have a baby, or they were to adopt, and this would be $5,000 after tax,” Seifert explains. “They can use it as they please. Just as an awesome ‘thank you’ for being a great team member and to empower their family to continue to grow.”

In the wake of the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade, many of the companies listed took it upon themselves to not only provide for their employees’ abortions, but also any travel cost to states that will conduct them should they live in a state with abortion restrictions.

“That’s the sad reality of this, is that these companies will pretend to care about, ‘women’s health care.’ But at the end of the day, they just don’t want to pay maternity leave,” Seifert says. “They’re more afraid of losing the monetary value that their employees provide. So, they would rather choose that than they would to empower the growth of these families.

“I think that’s really destructive,” Seifert adds. “I actually want more [involvement] of our employees, family members, because I think they’re great people, and we want their communities to thrive. And we believe that ultimately strong families build a strong nation, and I wish more companies felt the same way.”

In a time when the nuclear family and God’s design is under constant attack, it is encouraging for many to see a company stand up for godly principles.

The Bible discusses in depth the importance of the family unit, and how it is designed by God to be symbolic of His order, and the church and Jesus Christ.

It is to those ends that the family must be defended, protected, cared and fought for, because as 1 Timothy 3:5 says, “For if a man does not know how to manage his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?” {eoa}
