Chuck Pierce: Thinking Like Joseph Will Sustain Us in Coming Lean Times

Months ago, Prophet Chuck Pierce says God has given us everything we need to survive during the lean times. But, he says, we must think like Joseph, who prophesied in the Old Testament to Pharaoh about seven years of prosperity and seven years of famine, and Egypt survived.

Make no mistake about it, Pierce says, famine in our land is coming. Our food supply chain is being threatened by many factors. Some, like those in the present administration, are are not taking it very seriously while others, including those in the trucking industry and American farmers, are genuinely concerned about what is heading our way.

Pierce says we must approach the situation the way Joseph did, who, with inspiration from the Lord, was able to weather the impending storm.

“Think about during Joseph’s time. There was seven years of fatness and there was seven years of drought,” Pierce says. “What he did was to develop a strategy of 12 centers for administration of supply. And once he did that, then they were able to sustain through the drought ahead.

“You see, God gives us supply so that we have the provision we need to advance His kingdom. That’s what Deuteronomy 8:18 says. God says ‘I’m going to give you the power to get wealth.’ That means He’s going to make us like a chameleon who can change if necessary, to gain what we need to accomplish His covenant purposes. So, that is key for us as we advance into the season ahead.”

It began to become clear in 2022, Pierce says, that we were already involved in a significant war over supply lines. As children of God, however, we have better insight on the situation that those who side with the enemy.

“This year (2023) is about opening up new supply lines,” Pierce says. “We’re in this war over the supply for our future. But you want to understand that God has already given you the authority to multiply either what you have or to find new sources to multiply.”

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently put out a report that claims that there “are currently no nationwide shortages of food,” and that there are currently “no widespread disruptions” in the supply chain.

But the people who are responsible for getting the food to grocery stores across the country—the nation’s truckers—have a very different view of the situation, and a great deal of factors are involved.

The standard to promote green energy by the Biden administration, truckers say, will come at the expense of the nation’s economy and the country’s food supply. JKC Trucking Vice President and Co-Owner Mike Kucharski told Fox News Digital that compliance with the EPA’s clean energy will push many small trucking companies out of business. In turn, that will tighten trucking capacity nationwide and cause severe price inflation “worse than we have right now,” and it will be passed down to consumers, who will suffer the consequences of the green energy program.

Kucharski says more than 95% of the trucking companies that make up the industry are small businesses operating about 10 or fewer trucks, and many of those companies will not be able to survive the financial burden it will cause.

“A new clean diesel long haul tractor typically costs in the range of $180,000 to $200,000” Kucharski told Fox News Digital. “A comparable battery electric tractor costs upwards of $480,000, that’s a $300,000 upcharge, [which] is cost prohibitive for the overwhelming majority of motor carriers.

“This mandate is based on brand-new technology, number one, and they’re supporting green energy. I support green energy, but it’s extremely frustrating because it’s this new mandate they are forcing … truckers are nonstop overregulated.”

Trucking giant Yellow, which has been in business for 99 years and moved freight for businesses such as Walmart and Home Depot, was forced to declare bankruptcy and is going out of business. That means the loss of 30,000 jobs across the U.S., yet another factor that will put a stranglehold on the U.S. economy.

One of those is David Babick, who spent nearly four decades with Yellow.

“Well, 37 years of working here, and this is what—you’re locked out,” the 73-year-old Babick told spectrumlocalnews.com in New York. “You know it closed. Your benefits are done. Your medical coverage, everything is done. It is very disheartening because you’ve dedicated your life to a company. Again, 37 years is not chicken feed.”

It’s not just a shortage of trucks that has become the problems. A lack of drivers for the existing trucks also plays a major factor in the crisis.

Spectrum Local News in New York says that the American Trucking Association estimates there will be a shortage of 160,000 truck drivers in the United States by 2030. Christian Yunker, who owns CY Farms in Elba, New York, raises corn, soybeans, wheat, onions and dairy heifers, and saying the trucking industry is vital to his farm.

“Agriculture is a business of moving products and whether that’s the supplies that we need like fertilizer or see of the equipment we buy, they all require trucking to get there,” Yunker says.

River Valley foods, a story and food distribution company in Syracuse, New York, for many grocery stories, says they have struggle with the shortage of drivers as well.

“Hiring drivers has been difficult for us, and what we have also seen are delays from inbound shipments from our vendors,” says Brett Mowers, the transportation manager for River Valley. This has led to delayed shipments.”

And, it has led to certain products not being available in grocery stories.

All of this could lead toward automated drivers for the future, yet another source of new technology that could send the nation into a panic with more and more jobs at stake.

“Eventually, the industry will push toward if you need to drive from California to New York, you’ll have to have an AI (artificial intelligence) drive transporting that load most of the way and then you’ll have a live driver pick up the trailer if it is to make the final leg of that journey,” Mower says.

Pierce says when the spiritual warfare in this area does hit the nation, it’s all about how will we fill the house with the supply that will sustain us in years to come.

“I want to encourage all of you to think multiplication, think creativity. Don’t let the world produce fear in you,” Pierce says. {eoa}
