International Bible Teacher and Missionary Joy Dawson Dies at 96

Bible teacher, missionary and author Joy Dawson, a respected leader in the Youth With A Mission community, died early Thursday morning at 96 of natural causes.

Dawson’s Bible teaching ministry and missionary journeys with YWAM took her to 55 nations on six continents worldwide. She also taught extensively on television, radio and is the author of several books. Her penetrating teachings are based on the character and the ways of God.

Dawson’s oldest son, John, spoke lovingly of his mother and expressed a deep gratitude to the many thousands of people who are contacting the family at this time, recounting stories of the impact of Joy’s life and ministry.

What About the Creflo Dollar Controversy?

Social media can be a real blessing and be used for good. But it can also be a curse and a cause for strife, offense and division and “every man doing what is right in their own eyes.”

As a glaring example, many people are correcting Creflo Dollar on his denouncement of tithing as only an Old Testament law and principle. Pastors seeking to protect their own turf, ministers seeking to protect their own projects funded by the tithes of their downlines of churches and sponsors, are offering their two cents worth.

This sort of correction is mostly out of context.

Pastor John Gray Released: ‘The Devil Wanted Me to Die in This Bed’

Relentless Church Pastor John Gray and his wife, Aventer, posted a simple photo on Instagram. The caption: “The devil wanted me to die in this bed. But because of God, this bed is now a testimony.”

Gray, 49, who had been in the hospital for the past couple of weeks for a life-threatening Saddle Pulmonary Embolism in the pulmonary artery and more lung blood clots, was released from an Atlanta hospital on Tuesday, and will continue his recovery at home in Greeneville, South Carolina.

Gray was admitted to a hospital in Alabama on July 7 and was in critical care before moving to the hospital in Atlanta last week. {eoa}
