What You Can Do to Carry Jesus' Message of Hope

Everywhere he went, the character Pig-Pen in the Peanuts cartoon carried an atmosphere of dust surrounding him. In a similar fashion, Jesus wants believers to carry an atmosphere around them—an atmosphere of hope.

"We're supposed to model the methods of Jesus by taking a hint from what he did, by watching what he did and how we help people to create hope," Dr. Steve Greene said on a recent episode of "Greenelines" on the Charisma Podcast Network.

"A good teacher can inspire hope; and remember, Jesus was called a good teacher. We know He inspired hope. We know that message, that thought he shared with a man who asked him what must I do. He gave him hope. That was the residue, the 'dust bowl' that was around him. A good teacher can inspire hope and ignite the imagination and instill a love for learning.

"Help others see what's possible. They are walking around saying what's not possible. But you see what is possible. Speak about solutions rather than problems. Speak about possibilities rather than impossible people. See them, speak into them. Tell others what you learn in the Scriptures. The word you share will not return void."
