The Real Reason Atheism Is on the Rise—And Why Revival Is So Scarce

Why aren’t churches experiencing revival on a regular basis? Evangelist Dennis Funderburg Jr. says it’s the same reason atheism is growing. There’s a heavenly key to unlocking revival—and it has everything to do with how a church walks in its authority.

Funderburg says understanding what that means starts with John 17:20-23, in which Jesus prays that the church would function in full unity so that the world would know they belong to God.

“I have a personal belief that the reason there are so many atheists in the world right now is because the global church isn’t functioning in full authority that it’s called to function in,” he says on the “Jesus Is Still Jesus” podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network.

“We’ve dismissed a lot of the major works of God—for one, just loving people. … We’ve got charismatics over here and conservatives over there, and some of them are shaking their fists at the other one.”

But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Learn how to release your church’s spiritual authority by listening to the podcast.
