Sean Feucht: Pentecost Event in Brownsville Revival City ‘An Amazing Opportunity’

There’s something about Pentecost every year that evangelist Sean Feucht just can’t get enough of.

He loves the praying. He loves hearing—and preaching—God’s Word, and he loves leading worship. But it’s the overwhelming celebration and presence of the Holy Spirit that gets Feucht excited every year.

This year, it’s even more special for Feucht. He will be spending Pentecost weekend leading worship on the beach in Pensacola, Florida, the city where the Brownsville Revival took place beginning on Father’s Day in 1995.

The worship service Feucht will lead is only a part of Family Beach Fest in Pensacola, which Feucht said thousands of people are expected to attend.

“We need a fresh baptism from the Holy Spirit across our nation. We’re crying out for it,” Feucht said in an exclusive interview with Charisma News. “Pentecost was a public thing, it wasn’t hidden. People came from all over and were filled with the Spirit, they were saved and they were delivered. We expect the same thing will happen this weekend in Pensacola.”

Acts 2:1-4 reads: “When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. There appeared to them tongues as of fire, being distributed and resting on each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.”

Feucht says he’s honored that this event will take place in the same city where the Brownsville Revival was held and where the Holy Spirit ran rampant for years.

Just down the beach from the worship event, Feucht says there will also be a gay pride event. If spiritual warfare occurs, he says he and the believers around him will be ready for it.

“Anything we do these days, there is spiritual warfare,” Feucht says. “But I actually think it’s powerful. We’ve encountered a lot of spiritual warfare lately, but we have to combat that by being filled with the Spirit.

“The city of Pensacola really rallies behind this Family Beach Fest event. It’s sponsored by the city. We take this as an amazing opportunity to be on a public beach worshipping Jesus. I think of another awakening on the beaches, like in the ‘Jesus Revolution’ movie, and that’s the type of thing we’re believing is going to happen this weekend.” {eoa}
