Prophetic Evangelists: This Is the Enemy’s Greatest Weapon to Hold God’s People Hostage

In their book Restore the Roar (Aug. 2019), Pat and Karen Schatzline describe how they recently came face to face with fear.

Karen’s cancer diagnosis directed them to a cycle of doubt and despair. But instead, the couple chose a different route. They asked the doctor not to call the issue “cancer” or “leukemia.” They also chose not to invoke the words themselves. They weren’t in denial. They were just determined to not fall into hopelessness and allow fear to win, and to instead allow faith and trust to arise. In doing so, they discovered their “roar”!

“Trust did not mean we lived in denial but rather that we understood the final say belonged to God,” Karen says. “My symptoms continued, but something began to arise in our family. A boldness and a courage were awakened from deep within our spirits.”

Restore the Roar is a supernatural handbook on how to arise, defeat fear and be courageous. It reminds the reader that God wants to restore the roar inside of us, as Amos 3:8 declares: “The lion has roared—who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken—who can but prophesy?”

“It is the desire of our hearts that this book awaken every believer to walk in their God-given authority. Together, we can defeat the lies of the enemy. Every believer has been given the ‘God-tools’ to win the battlefield of the mind and destroy the illusions from the enemy. We must always remember that we will never lose what we have entrusted to God’s loving care and protection,” write Pat and Karen.

The Schatzlines remind readers that God desires for us to not be afraid and to trust in Him. They exhort readers to awaken to the weapons God has provided to us to defeat fear and then allow our roar to be restored.

Karen says, “God provided not just one, but three distinct weapons that enable us to combat, conquer, overtake and destroy fear. The Bible tells us exactly what those weapons are. Instead of fear, God gives us power, love and a sound mind. Each of these three possess a specific ability to bring us back into a relationship of trust with God the Father where we are then able to focus on His power, His character and His ways.”

Pat writes, “We are called to be bold as lions! You and I are called to roar! Regardless of how exhausted and weary we become, we must seek the Lord once again. We must once again take our rightful place of authority. And when we do, God will provide what we need for the battle.”

Restore the Roar encourages readers to let their praise be louder than their fear because bragging on God releases power to defeat the lies of the enemy. This book aims to strengthen readers to stand up, declare that they are children of God and take back their kidnapped lives and kidnapped freedom from fear!

Karen says, “God’s voice prepared me for the cancer storm that would disrupt our lives. Even in that storm, His voice, His breath, filled my lungs with the ability to praise Him. In that place of praise I was able to receive His overflowing peace to sustain me until I reached the shore safely. When we are faced with fear of the storms that rage, we have two options. We can walk away and be tossed about and shaken, or we can dive in and be made whole in God’s peace.”

“Fear is the thief of yesterday’s dream, the intimidator of today’s promises, the decapitator of headship, the emasculator of tomorrow’s warriors, the cage of God’s eagles and the enemy’s greatest weapon to hold us hostage,” write Pat and Karen. “It is time to defeat fear and Restore the Roar!” {eoa}
