How You Can See Healing on the Streets

Share:

Have you ever dreamed of seeing people healed by the power of God? What about seeing healings in everyday locations, like the grocery store, the gas station or the skate park? God is using people in ordinary places to do extraordinary things by the power of God, and you can do it too.

First, let’s look at some principles about how God heals people:

1. Take Scripture for what it says. People will be healed when you lay hands on them and pray in faith (Mark 16:18).

2. Get instruction from Jesus on exactly how He wants to heal the person. Each healing is different (John 10:27)

3. Do what you see the Father doing. In John 5:19 (NIV), “Jesus gave them this answer: ‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.'”

In a recent episode on Adventures on the Spirit podcast, Joshua Fenimore shares about growing up in a church movement that practiced spiritual gifts, including prophecy, healing and power evangelism. He learned by watching his father minister powerfully in these ways and at age 6, Fenimore first began to see people healed through his prayers. At age 15, he prayed for his mom’s crippling arthritis, and she was instantly healed of all pain. Then a decade ago, he had a powerful encounter with Jesus, and he knew that God had called him to be bold and pray for people in the streets, expecting miracles to take place. This is the very essence of power evangelism and the daily, supernatural life in which he knew he had to walk.

Fenimore wants to be uncomfortable when he prays for people on the streets. Why? It’s messy. It’s unpredictable. And he’s praying over strangers. But he wants to come to the place where he sees God constantly invading people’s lives and the presence of Jesus is what changes people.

If you want to activate your own faith to pray for people on the streets, use this simple approach. Show a picture or give a testimony of someone who was healed by the power of God. It activates people’s faith as you share the miracle! Then simply ask, “Can I just pray a blessing over you and see if God will heal you too?”

After this, pray and ask Jesus, “What is Your heart for this person?” He will reveal a divine strategy about how to pray for them.

Be bold. Be brave. And take the leap of faith to pray for people on the streets. God is ready and willing to move through your prayers, and He gets all the glory.
