When people think of deliverance, they may often think of dramatic exorcisms as shown in movies.
But deliverance minister Kathy DeGraw says there’s a side to deliverance that isn’t as dramatic: inner healing.
“Inner healing and deliverance go hand in hand,” DeGraw says on her Prophetic Spiritual Warfare podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. “Inner healing is one step to deliverance, but when we don’t cast out the correlating demon and offer people discipleship, the deliverance process isn’t complete. Inner healing addresses issues and behavior patterns, but deliverance, casting out the demon, addresses the strongholds or strongmen that emotional problems create. …
“Strongholds can take two years to walk out your freedom. It is not as simple as casting out a demonic spirit. It is changing your behaviors, patterns, habits and thought life.
“When you have a strongman, it has attacked you for so long that you need a mind renewal. It can become your identity and you need to change your identification to not have your stronghold define you. We can live in victory. We can live 80% free and then continue to process out the remainder of our deliverance. Demons can enter again, so it doesn’t hurt us to continually cast out demons in order to keep our soul pure.”
In her podcast, DeGraw teaches believers how to receive deep deliverance and complete deliverance by casting out the demonic spirit and being discipled to stay free.
