2 Years After Jerusalem Recognized as Israel’s Capital, Jonathan Cahn Unveils Ancient Mystery That Points to This Historic Event

This week marks two years since President Donald Trump led the country in recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and stated that the U.S. Embassy would move there.

Although the statement astounded many, New York Times bestselling author Jonathan Cahn says the outcome could be found in an ancient Middle Eastern paradigm from nearly 3,000 years ago.

In his newest book, The Oracle: The Jubilean Mysteries Unveiled, Cahn makes shocking connections between major political players in America-Israel relations, including Donald Trump and Mark Twain, to biblical characters from centuries ago. Cahn also makes ties between President Trump and the ancient Persian King Cyrus, who sought the return of the Jewish people to their homeland.

But first Cahn refers to President Truman as “the first American Cyrus.”

“The proclamation of Cyrus declared the right of the Jewish exiles to return to the land,” a man known as “the Oracle” explains in Cahn’s book. “Beyond that it gave sanction for the rebirth of the Jewish nation. Both of these things, that right and that sanction, were fulfilled in the modern world by the first American Cyrus, President Truman. Truman was central in the release of the post-Holocaust Jewish exiles in Europe and their return to Israel, and after that in America’s recognition of the resurrected Jewish nation.”

But as Cahn reveals, Truman never fulfilled what President Trump went on to accomplish:

“Cyrus’ proclamation had another dimension and focus as well—the city of Jerusalem. Specifically, it identified Jerusalem as belonging to the Jewish people, recognized the city as the nation’s capital, and affirmed the right of the Jewish people to return there. Those three things were never fulfilled by Truman. They would wait for another Cyrus to fulfill them. … That would be President Trump and the Jerusalem Declaration.”

On Dec. 6, 2017, Trump released the Jerusalem Declaration, which decreed the following: “Consistent with the Jerusalem Embassy Act, I am also directing the State Department to begin preparation to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.”

Cahn compares the declaration to King Cyrus’ ancient decree, which read: “All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah” (Ezra 1:2, NKJV).

“As in the proclamation of the ancient king, the president’s declaration ultimately focused on the establishment of a house in Jerusalem—in the modern case, the house took the form of an embassy,” Cahn writes. “The house that Cyrus decreed was specifically linked to the return of the Jewish people to the city—so too would be the house that the president decreed. The house that Cyrus decreed would manifest the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of a resurrected Israel by the world’s foremost power of the time—so too would the house decreed by the president.”

In a section titled “The 70 Year Mystery,” Cahn reveals an eerily precise biblical mystery. The Bible records that Cyrus made his declaration concerning Jerusalem at the end of a critical 70-year period involving the nation of Israel. Could there be a link to the declaration of the American president? The nation of Israel was voted into existence in 1947; add 70 years to pinpoint the year 2017—the year Trump issued the Jerusalem Declaration.

But Cahn goes deeper. If readers take into account the Hebrew calendar and begin a countdown on the very day that Israel was voted into existence—then count 70 years, in accordance with the Scripture that decrees the declaration would take place after 70 years—a specific date is pinpointed: Dec. 6, 2017. That is the day that the Jerusalem Declaration went forth from the White House—exactly 70 years to the very day. {eoa}

Jonathan Cahn caused a worldwide stir with the release of his explosive first book, The Harbinger, which became an instant New York Times bestseller and brought him to national and international prominence. His next three books were also New York Times bestsellers: The Mystery of the Shemitah, The Book of Mysteries and The Paradigm. He was named, along with Billy Graham and Keith Greene, one of the top 40 spiritual leaders of the past 40 years to have radically impacted the world. Called the prophetic voice of this generation, Cahn is a much-sought-after speaker and has been highlighted in The New York Times as well as in many national and international media. He has spoken on Capitol Hill, at the United Nations and to millions of people around the world. Cahn is known for opening the deep mysteries of Scripture and bringing forth messages of prophetic import. He leads Hope of the World ministry, an international outreach of teaching, evangelism and compassion projects for the world’s most needy. He also leads the Jerusalem Center/Beth Israel, a worship center made up of Jews and Gentiles, people of all backgrounds, just outside New York City in Wayne, New Jersey.
