Iran is actually ancient Persia. The Old Testament talks about the Medes and the Persians, and Pentecostal minister Don Stewart says Iran fits into biblical prophecy in Ezekiel 38.
“It talks about a coalition in the last days,” Stewart says. “Persia is mentioned along with another character, Rosh, which seems to be a proper noun referring to the present country of Russia and having a military alliance. Never in the history of the human race has there been a military alliance between those two geographical entities there, which is modern-day Iran and modern-day Russia, until now. …
“The scenario that the Bible predicted, seemingly so impossible, is now falling into place.”
