The Miracle Behind Israel’s 70th Anniversary

Share:

The regathering of the Jewish people is an event that was prophesied many times in the Scriptures. It is hard to fathom that what we are seeing now was actually written about thousands of years before it happened.

The days are coming, says YHVH, that they will no more say, “as YHVH lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt” from but rather “as YHVH lives who brought up the seed of the house of Israel from the land of the North and from all the lands to which I dispersed them and brought them that they would dwell on their land” (Jer. 23:7-8).

This is a huge statement. We are experiencing something greater than what the people experienced who left Egypt with Moses. This is a miracle of biblical proportions.

Supernatural Intervention

The fact that this has come to pass is proof that the Bible is true. Naturally speaking it is not possible. A people cannot be dispersed for 2,000 years and be regathered. It could not be predicted or fulfilled without supernatural intervention. It is proof of the divine origin of the biblical prophecy.

If this great historical promise has come true, how much more will the personal promises of Scriptures for our own lives also come to pass? We glean much personal encouragement for Bible promises in our own lives as we look at the miracle of modern Israel.

The dispersion and regathering of Israel also has an amazing symbolic parallel to the death and resurrection of Yeshua. What happens to Israel’s king happens to Israel. As Yeshua was killed by the Romans and His soul left His body for two days, so was the people of Israel exiled out of their land for two thousand years. As Yeshua returned into His body after two days to be resurrected, so has the people returned to their land to be restored after two millennia. The restoration of Israel is a parallel miracle to the resurrection of Yeshua.

Ultimate Fullness

Why has all this happened? What is the purpose? Biblical prophecy describes another period of time yet to come. It is the Messianic or Millennial kingdom upon the earth. It is the ultimate fullness of both the international church and the nation of Israel.

There will be peace and prosperity, justice and righteousness, for all nations. The capital of the kingdom will be Jerusalem. For the worldwide kingdom to be established, the nation of Israel must be restored first. The restoration of Israel is part of the preparation for the coming Messianic kingdom.

We are rejoicing to see all these meanings to this 70th anniversary of the state of Israel:

  1. Miracle of biblical proportions
  2. Proof that the Bible is true
  3. Personal encouragement of biblical promises
  4. Parallel miracle to the resurrection of Yeshua
  5. Preparation for the coming Messianic kingdom

Let us rejoice together in the wonderful things God is doing in our generation! {eoa}
