Kirk Cameron’s new movie “Life Mark” is inspired by the incredible true life story of an adopted son who reconnects with his birth mother after his 18th birthday. This movie comes out in a time where Roe v. Wade has been overturned and the fight against abortion continues. Cameron’s efforts to depict the story of a real family paints a picture everyone needs to see.

This film highlights the journey of adoption and the beauty of how life can turn out for an adopted child, and a family who wouldn’t have been able to have a child otherwise. The movie hit the theatres on Sept. 9 with a message of hope and reconciliation.

Cameron says they transcribed the dialogue for the movie directly after interviewing the family depicted in the movie. “Not only that, there are some secret scenes in the move, where the actors who are playing the roles are actually the real biological mother, the real adoptive mother and father and the real son,” Cameron says.

The goal of the movie is not to add further fuel to the abortion debate but to show love, forgiveness, life, family and reconciliation. “It’s got all the gospel fruit and the fruit of the Spirit that you want to see and expect from a Kendrick movie,” Cameron says.

Filming this movie hits close to home for Cameron. As an adoptive father to four of his six children, he pulls from his own life experience to show the world the beauty of life and adoption. Now more than ever the body of Christ needs to rally around young women who are debating whether or not to have an abortion.

Christians are very vocal on being pro-life but our actions should follow our words. James 1:27 says, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”

Cameron is calling the body of Christ to step out and take a stand. America was founded upon Christian principles that our forefathers worked tirelessly to put into place for our wellbeing. Now there is a clear attack from the enemy, and many Christians are sitting idly by.

“Politics we think is so dirty and so corrupt, that’s just sort of a worldly thing that Jesus maybe has low on the list. But I would suggest that leadership in our civil government is so important,” Cameron says.

The government has made it clear they have no problem going after the church. The midterm elections are coming up and you have the opportunity to make a difference in America by casting your vote for someone who reflects biblical values.
