Jack Hayford, Christine Caine and Jentezen Franklin opened up the morning general session of Empowered21 on Friday, May 22.

Hayford, founder of Jack Hayford Ministries, followed up his morning devotional from the previous day with a second message of hope and renewal. Caine, a native of Australia and co-founder of the A21 Campaign, spoke to the morning gathering of thousands in the Pais Arena, followed by Jentezen Franklin, senior pastor of Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia. Both centered their messages on renewing and refreshing the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Empowered21's second day of ministry track sessions took place in the afternoon in the Pais Arena. Friday's tracks included "Word of the hour," "Leading Effective Worship and Praise," "Signs, Wonders and Healing," "Communicating the Word: Publishing, Media and the Arts," "How to Pray and Intercede Effectively," "How Shall We Walk between Cultures?" "Leading, Planting & Prospering the Church," "The Book of Acts Today," "The Effective Evangelist," "True Religion: Compassion" and "Scholar Presentations."

The afternoon meeting was keynoted by Daniel Kolenda, president and CEO of Christ for All Nations. Previously scheduled for the message, Reinhard Bonnke was unable to attend the congress, but addressed the arena crowd by video.

"The ministry tracks yesterday and today were powerful and anointed," said William M. Wilson, president and global co-chair of Empowered21. "The keynote speakers have brought Spirit-filled messages filled with the precision of God's Word and timing for this appointed time. I so appreciate the sacrifices our presenters have made to be with us here in Jerusalem." Wilson shared with the congress that all keynote speakers and ministry track leaders have traveled to Israel at their own expense.

Out of respect for the Jewish Sabbath, Saturday's events are scheduled off-site from the Pais Arena, and will include a special gathering at the Jordan River and a baptismal service.
